Summer highlights 2013

I'm going to put it on record that this summer has been one of the best I can remember. After a cold spring it has now been consistently warm and sunny for months. The purpose of this blog post is to bank a few memories of the summer of 2013 so I can refer back to them during the cold and drizzly summers that are no doubt in store!

On the Ring of Steall, looking towards Glencoe

After work munro bagging in the Fannichs
Campspot at Culra. We did the circuit of Ben Alder, a mix of lovely stalkers paths and vile pushing up steep, pathless hillside. I reckon it might have been quicker and more pleasant as a jog. Next day cycled / pushed out to Kinloch Laggan.
Ben Loyal and the Kyle of Tongue
Cape Wrath cliffs
Kearvaig Bay from Cape Wrath
Sheigra
Sunny but cold and windy on Afterthought Arete, Stag Rocks. The picture is deceptive because it doesn't capture the 65 mph gusts or the windchill of -6 C. Hot aches were only narrowly avoided earlier in the day on  a rainy Pygmy Ridge.

Good to see you were out enjoying the summer. It was almost too hot for me at times in the mountains. Some lovely photographs of great areas Gavin.
